With a goal to have a sustainable development by balancing Economic-Ecological-Social parameters; a CISR group was formed with an extended support from the Colruyt Management. This team has inherited values and mission based on our Colruyt Group-wide social contribution activities philosophy and policy.
We also believe that our social contribution projects help us build trust with communities and make our employees a responsible corporate citizen, while volunteer work inspires greater social awareness and more flexible thinking in them.
With an objective to ‘give back’ to the society, we contribute towards providing scholarships to financially underprivileged talented students; support economically challenged pregnant women and their medical needs, donate funds for disaster relief, organize blood donation camps and organize many similar initiatives.
We use resources nature gives us. To keep our good impact on nature and our environment as low polluted as possible, we handle it in a sustainable manner. As a group we avoid waste and continue to invest in more efficiency. For instance, we opt for alternative means of transport, sustainable materials and renewable energy amongst others.
Colruyt India building is built on ‘green building concept' and deploys a range of technological investments in our office space like use of solar panels, green plantations, waste water recycling plant, energy efficient lighting and water harvesting techniques to reduce our environmental impact. We encourage and avoid plastics usage as much as possible. We encourage our employees to be effective and efficient in power, water and paper consumption.
Information on safety, health & wellness is regularly cascaded to all employees to ensure that they are aware of small and big information that can make a difference in their daily life at office and home. Our Employee Health and Safety team works with employees on a periodic basis to ensure employee health and safety precautions and measurements are taken on a periodic basis.
